Pinnokios Hair Studio | Cincinnati | 2013-2014 This project started out through a call to artist to participate in the 2013 American Sign Museum Co-Sign Project, funded by ArtPlace. ArtPlace America is a Chicago-based foundation that invests in arts and cultural initiatives that revitalize cities. Co-Sign is a design competition where artists and graphic designers submit design concepts, whereby businesses select their favorite design and then sign makers compete for the right to the signs. The goal of the project is to generate increased economic activity by creating a greater sense of place for neighborhood business districts. In 2013 the CoSign Project received over 250 design submission by 62 artists. My initial proposal for signage was picked by Pinnokios Hair Studio, however it was not in the 10 signs selected by the committee to be created by the sign makers. Tina Meyers of Pinnokios loved the sign design so she requested that I create a logo re-brand, website and print collateral for her salon.
